Mangaluru: Terming his three-day visit to the coastal districts as an attempt to consolidate the party, BJP Chief Amit Shah, on Tuesday said that people in the state are eagerly waiting for the upcoming elections so that they can get rid of to the Siddaramiah lead Congress government. “People want a change from ‘Goonda Raj’ to good governance, ” he said.
Addressing a press meet at a private hotel here in the city, BJP president Amit Shah said, “the end has come to Siddaramaiah’s government in the state. Soon after the election counting, there will be no Congress government as the BJP will form a government in the state.”
“The BJP has organised a ‘Navashakthi Samelena’ in all the constituencies of the state and there will be a convention for the ‘Shakthi Kendra Pramukhs’ of 2000 polling stations, ” he said.
Taking a dig at the Congress government, Shah alleged that the ruling Congress government is a corrupt government. “There is no another CM in the country who wears a watch costing Rs 70 lakhs. Though there is a minister facing charges of corruption and murder, he hasn’t been sacked from the cabinet yet by Siddaramaiah. This government is well-known for three ‘Ms’- ‘Murder, ‘Mafia’, ‘Ministers’ Corruption’,” Shah said.
On the death of BJP and RSS activists in the state, Shah said, “in four years of Siddaramaiah’s, government, a total of 22 RSS and BJP activists were targeted and murdered in the state”.
On Siddaramaiah’s letter asking to drop the cases filed against minorities registered during the communal clashes, Amit Shah said that the move by the Congress government is unconstitutional and can disrupt the law and order situation in the state.
Giving details about the Central government’s fund to the state, Amit Shah said, ” Union government under the 13th finance commission has sanctioned Rs 88,583 crore. Under 14th Finance Commission the Union government has sanctioned Rs 2,90,506 crore to the state. Union government has sanctioned Rs 1,30,923 excess money to the state and the CM must speak about this to the people.” He also said that projects of Union government haven’t reached the villages in Karnataka.
Why only Deepak, why not Basheer?
When questioned about his visit to only Deepak Rao’s house and not Basheer’s residence, Amit Shah said that he is the president of Bharathiya Janatha Party and he visited the residence of a party worker who lost life due to communal hatred.
“The CM visited Deepak’s house only because he wanted to visit Basheer’s house. It’s time BS Yeddyurappa took control of the state,” he said.

How is ihe going to help the poor?. We can see the wind is in BJP’s favor all over the state and there is no doubt that Yeddyurappa will once again become chief minister of the state. BJP will win the elections by a huge margin under the BJP state President Yeddyurappa,” he said.
The Siddaramaiah government has made many promises to the fishermen of the coastal Karnataka. Under 60 years of Congress rule in the country, nothing has been done for the poor and BJP under Narendra Modi’s leadership has done lot for the poor within 4 years. The nation has seen vast developments. When UPA was in power, Rs. 88,583 crore was released for the development under the 12th Finance Commission, but after the BJP came to power, Narendra Modi government released Rs 2,19,506 crore under the 14th Finance Commission.
