Belthangadi: A pedestrian hit by a Maruti 800 car, while walking near his house, succumbed to injuries in the hospital on February 24.

Rajesh (32), a resident of Kokrady Manyadikatte is the deceased.

Rajesh was hit by a Maruti car (KA 22 M 6850) driven by Viraj Shetty on February 23. The car was heading towards Adinje from Naravi when the incident occurred.

A grievously injured Rajesh was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru but unfortunately succumbed to injuries.

Venur police have registered a case against car driver Viraj Shetty.
