Thokottu: A pedestrian who was crossing the road is now fighting for life after being knocked down by a speeding bike.

The injured is Shashishar (4%), resident of Santhosh Nagar here.

He was crossing the road near Kuthar Bhajana Mandir at about 8.30 pm on Thursday when a bike bearing registration number KA 19 EK 3468 knocked him down.

Shashidhar has been rushed to a private hospital and is said to be in critical state.

Identity of the biker has not been ascertained.

A case has been registered.
