Parents protest against HM who sexually harassed students

Kundapur: A Sasthan Pandeshwar Government-aided School Headmaster  has been accused of sexually and mentally harassing his students. On January 29, Wednesday,  parents of the students staged a protest urging the education department to take action against the erring teacher and transfer him.

Along with the parent the members of the Jaya Karnataka organization also joined the protest and demanded the transfer of the headmaster of the school who allegedly sexually harassed the female students.

 The accused teacher has been identified as 58-year-old Parameshwar Acharya, who is scheduled to get retired in the next two years.

 Reportedly  there were several complaints against the teacher by the students who alleged that they were physically harassed.Moreover, the  headmaster was also passing vulgar and explicit comments to the embarrassment of the students.

Parameshwar Acharya, has been serving the school for the past nine years. The headmaster was however not in the school  when the protest was held.

The agitators have warned that they would intensify protest if action did not follow against the erring headmaster by January 30.The Brahmavar Block Education Officer Nagendra Shanbagh and Taluk Physical Education Officer Madhukar  who met the agitators have assured action.
