Opposition told to raise Yettinahole in Assembly: Khader

Mangaluru: “If a project is given consent in the Assembly, then to stop it the issue has to be taken up in the Assembly itself. The Opposition leaders are told about it and they could move a motion on Yettinahole in the Assembly and Council for discussion” said U T Khader, Minister for Health and Family Welfare.

People must be aware of welfare schemes : U T Khader-1He was speaking to media-persons on the sidelines of the inauguration of Malaria software.

“The meeting scheduled to be held on Oct 19 with CM of Karnataka is postponed as few of the MLA’s and senior leaders have requested as they are busy with Dasara festival. Regarding meeting to be held in District, first it will be discussed along with CM in Bengaluru and further measures will be taken. Only after looking into the pros and cons of the project could be stopped.”

“Already Ramesh Kuamr in Kolar has clearly said that we should not create problems to people of Dakshina Kannada for this project, and if any problems arise then it should be dropped”, he said.

When asked if the project would harm the district, Minister promised by saying “I am not expert in this field, so the discussion will be held at various levels and if it is scientifically proven that the Yettinahole project will harm Dakshina Kannada district, then I too will oppose it.”
