Mangaluru: A ‘Rasta Roko’ protest was organized by the All College Students’ Association on Friday September 4.  Agitating over the ongoing work on the Yettinahole project, students from various colleges in the city protested in front of University College, Hampankatta.

Dinakar Shetty, the state legal advisor of All College Students’ Association urged everyone to join the protest and demanded that the project should be discarded at once.

He also pointed out that a huge amount of money has been pumped into the project and said that the officials involved in the project are corrupt and their assets should be confiscated.

He criticized union law minister D V Sadananda Gowda and former minister Veerappa Moily for their stand on the project.

Association president Rohini, executive president Donald Norohana and others were present. Pandeshwar police who were at the spot dispersed the protestors and traffic resumed.
