Mangaluru: The state government has directed its ministers to hold open discussion on the Kasturirangan report at several districts in the state.
The circular issued by the department of Forest, Environment and Ecology to at least ten districts including Dakshina Kannada states that the a team including three senior state ministers will be part of the public meeting, which will discuss on the pros and cons before the implementation of Dr. Kasturirangan report. The feedback of the discussion will then be forwarded to the Centre, who will take a final call, whether the report should be implemented or not, official sources said.

B. Ramanath Rai, T.B Jayachandra and Vinay Kumar Sorake will attend the meet in Shivamogga on January 20 at 11am.
B. Ramanath Rai, T.B Jayachandra and Vinay Kumar Sorake will attend the meet in Udupi on January at 11 am and in Dakshina Kannada at 3pm on the same day.
R.V Deshpande, D.K Shivkumar and H.S Mahadev Prasad will attend the meet in Hassan at 11am on January 21 and at 3pm at Chikmangaluru.
R.V Deshpande, D.K Shivkumar and H.S Mahadev Prasad will attend the meet in at 11am in Uttara Kannada on January 27.
B. Ramanath Rai, T.B Jayachandra, Vinay Kumar Sorake, R.V Deshpande, D.K Shivkumar and H.S Mahadev Prasad will attend the meet at 11 am in Kodagu, Madikeri on January 31.
