Moodubidri: A 19-year-old boy lost his life in a tragic accident near Mijar of the Moodubidri taluk on Wednesday, October 17.

The deceased, identified as Mohit, is the son of Seetharam Gowda of Mijar Daddi. He was a student at a private college in Moddubidri.

According to sources, Mohit and his friend Rishab were on their way home, when the incident occurred. While they were riding home, the bike fell in a pothole, causing Mohit to lose control and fall on the road. As soon as they fell, a bus that was plying from Mangaluru to Moodubidri, ran over Mohit, killing him instantly. His friend, Rishab was also injured in the accident, but is out of danger.

A case has registered with the Moodubidri Police station
