Mangaluru: A NURM(Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission) bus plying in interior Ulaibettu area of Mangaluru ran down a field while carrying passengers on Sunday morning. Two out of a total of six passengers plying in the bus were injured in the mishap.
The bus is said to have first rammed into an electric pole and then landed in a field flipping over to one side.

The locals say that the number of injured could have been more provided it was a weekday as the bus is usually taken by school and college students to reach their destinations in the morning.

Ulaibettu was in news several years ago after a school bus ran into flooding Phalguni river drowning several little school kids.
