Mangaluru: Following the completion of two years of the Congress government in state, Dakshina Kannada BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak responded harshly on the developmental work done by the Ministers of the Dakshina Kannada.

Speaking to the media at district BJP office on Saturday he said that even after having four Ministers from DK, none of them are responding to the woes of the people.
“It is highly disappointing to know that a Minister from our district is stuck in an episode of corruption. District in-charge Minster is busy supporting the illegal sand mining business. Expecting something positive from these people will be a waste,” he said adding that instead of strengthening the Lokayukta, the Congress government has formed Anti-Corruption Bureau to back the corruption done by the government. Moreover the government has failed to provide a logical solution to any of the problems faced by the state over the last three years.
“The Congress government is supporting illegal sand mining, cattle transport and many other illegal activities. The people of Karnataka have expressed their disappointment in the previous Taluk and Zilla Panchayat elections,” he said.
MLC Captain Ganesh Karnik said that the BJP is insisting the Congress government to reschedule the reopening of schools and colleges as the state is facing severe drought.
DK BJP Office Bearers Sanjeev Matandoor, Monappa Bhandary and others were present.
