Mangaluru: BJP Minority Morcha State President and Head of Gujarat Haj Committee M K Chishty, was in Mangaluru yesterday and addressed press persons at the Circuit House. He denied that Muslims in Gujurat are subjected to atrocities and he stressed that that compared to othe states, Muslims in fact feel more secure in Gujurat. He accused the opposition of spreading false rumors of the opposite.

 “Muslims are serving in various positions in the Gujarat government. Out of total population, 9% are Muslims in the state. 10.5% Muslims are serving in Police department in the state while 17% are involved in various government jobs. There is peace and harmony prevailing in the state which is being disturbed by the opposition through their remarks,” he added.
 
He said the IS are armed terroists that will destroy global security.
 
“It is a group filled with sadist behaviour that is set to destroy the world in the name of spreading religion. Nowhere in Islam, are we asked to kill people or spread violence to propagate religion. The practices they are following and executing are against the religion. Only by being united we can fight against anti-social elements and preserve harmony,” he said.
