Mangaluru: As the city gets the Smart City tag, Mangalorean builders are doing their bit in keeping up to the title. On the same note, another building of Nirmaan Homes group by the name “Madhuban” has completed construction and is now open for occupancy.

Their newly inaugurated building in Kottara, Madhuban is worth a mention as it was completed within a period of 18 months. The four-storeyed Madhuban has six apartments on each floor of the building and has 24 individual houses in total.
After the building was inaugurated by cutting the ribbon, a formal gathering was conducted at the roof to hand over lucky prizes and mementos by dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, builder and former minister Krishna J Palemar told the gathering about how Nirmaan Homes had built the apartment tailor made for a smart city.
“It is indeed a thing to wonder how the builders of this apartment raised it up so quickly while not compromising on its quality. Moreover, greenery around an apartment always adds value to the ambience and Madhuban has greenery all around it”, Palemar said while wishing Nirmaan Homes a great success in the future.
Satheesh Kamath, DGM of Syndicate Bank was also one of guests. “The builder of this apartment had promised the people who booked homes in the building that they would finish construction of the whole apartment in 18 months, and they did it. What better day to inaugurate their project than Makara Sankranthi day”, he said and wished a prosperous Sankranthi to the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, Corporator of Kottara Chowki area and former mayor of Mangaluru City, Shashidhar Hegde said, “Mangaluru is growing at a fast pace and Nirmaan Homes is contributing to this by constructing homes for people at low cost. Though there were problems regarding flooding in Kottara area during rains till around ten years ago, it has been fixed. There is no problem with water supply here because there is a pump house in Jalligudde. In addition, the government has made plans to concretise the roads leading to Madhuban soon.”
The people in charge of concrete, reinforcement, laterite masonry, plastering, waterproofing, electrical, plumbing, painting, aluminum works, structural roofing and reticulated gas circulation, which are quintessential for the building were honoured along with chief engineer Gokul Raj.
A lucky dip programme was also conducted in which owner of one of the houses, Vinayak Kamath won an air-conditioner for his new home. Each house owner was given the key to their house along with some goodies. Krishnaraj Salian, Marketing Manager of Nirmaan Homes announced that another project of theirs by the name “Nanda Deep” would begin in February 2017.
