NHAI initiates measures to mitigate BC Road traffic woes

Bantwal : The National Highway  Authority has initiated measures to allow two way traffic on the BC Road fly over with the objective of easing traffic congestion in the area.

As a first move, the dividers   put up   near the fly over   were removed. This will allow vehicles heading towards Puttur, Uppinangady and Dharmasthala from Mangalore to proceed on the fly over without entering BC Road town.

The NH Authority would also   put up    yellow striped dividers on the fly over to facilitate two-way traffic. There are also plans to   enforce speed limit to avert accidents.

Traffic snarls again: On Monday May 26 too BC road witnessed a traffic snarl which in turn inconvenienced many who   had to attend functions including weddings.
