Mangaluru: News Karnataka, with Bank of Baroda as Title Sponsor and Powered by Quick Advisory and BPO, hosted a grand Dandiya Night event. The inauguration of this event was graced by Geetha Kulkarni, ACP of Mangaluru City Traffic Police, Valerian Dalmeida, the proprietor and mentor of Quick and Advisory Digital, and Brijesh Gokhale, the Executive Director of News Karnataka.
The event was organized at the city’s mini town hall and saw the participation of more than 500 people. Awards were given for the best performance, the top dance, and the finest attire. During the Dandiya Nights, city residents adorned traditional attire and displayed their dancing skills. The traditional Gujarati dance form, Dandiya, typically performed during Navratri, is gaining popularity in Mangaluru. This lively group dance has brought a colorful and vibrant dance culture to the city, with hundreds of participants dancing in harmony.
On the event stage, Deepak Ganguly from Pathway Enterprises, Edrich D’Souza, Regional Office Manager of Bank of Baroda, Mercy Veena D’Souza, President of the Aibha Association, Mrs. Pratibha Salian, the crowned winner of Mrs. India Finsey, and Pratiksha Prabhu from Upasana, served as the program’s comperes. The event was also co-sponsored by All American Tulu Association.
