Mangaluru: News Karnataka, in collaboration with Pathway Enterprises and Vertex Lounge Mangalore, recently organized a Special Ethnic Fashion Contest for women in celebration of Women’s Day. The event was generously sponsored by Travel World as the main sponsor and Upasana as the Entertainment partner. Additional support came from Canara Bank NRI branch, Mandovi Motors Mangalore, JCI Mangalore, Mercy Beauty Academy, and Ladies Salon.

Held at Vertex Lounge Mannagudda, the event drew a tremendous crowd and featured entries from numerous participants. It also included a felicitation ceremony for accomplished women and girls, honoring individuals such as Mrs. Pratheeksha Prabu for her social work and Miss Sannidi for her election campaign efforts. Notable figures like Mrs. Kamala and Mrs. Vijaya were also recognized. The contest comprised two categories: Miss and Mrs. In the Miss category, Miss Sanvi Shetty clinched the first prize, followed by Miss Nishel in second place and Miss Niyati in third place. Meanwhile, Mrs. Vidhya secured the first prize in the Mrs. category, with Mrs. Ashwini Rai and Mrs. Sushmitha claiming the second and third prizes, respectively.

Judging the fashion show was Mercy Veena from Mercy Beauty Academy and Ladies Salon, alongside Ayesha from Ayesha’s T Time. The esteemed guests present on stage included Mercy Veena D’Souza, Amritha Rani, Mr. Deepak Ganguli, Mrs. Swathi, and Harshith Holla.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere were captivating dance performances by Team Upasana, ensuring an engaging experience for all attendees. Overall, the event radiated joy and left the audience thoroughly entertained and involved.
