Naushad murder case : All 6 accused arrested at Sajipamunnur bar : IGP

Mangalore : Western Range IGP Amrit Paul has informed that the six accused in the case of the murder of Naushad  reported from near Sujeer School near Maripalla on Saturday evening., were arrested  on  June  23, Monday  at the Surabhi Bar at Sajipamunnur village.

Speaking to reporters at the SP office, the IGP said two police teams of the Bantwal Rural Police and DCIB had been formed to trace the culprits who had hacked Naushad to death and left his relative injured.

The IGP gave the names of the arrested as Irfan (24) of Arkula, Tausif (22) of Sujeer Badigudde, Mohammad Nisar (26) of Paadi in Pudu village, Mohammad Nisar (24) of Perimar in Pudu village, Abdul Sattar (27)  of Maripalla in Pudu village and Mohammad Siraj (25) of Perimar in Pudu. The seventh accused Saddam is at large and he will be arrested soon, the IGP informed.

He also stated that the  accused have confessed their guilt and that a personal enmity had led to the murder. He also  congratulated the Bantwal Rural Police and DCIB sleuths for cracking the case  in a short span of time.

On the Rajesh Poojary case, the IGP said the accused were arrested  based on evidences. The IGP’s reaction comes in the wake of protests that they were innocents.

The IGP appealed to youngsters to refrain from criminal activities and warned that rowdy sheeter files would be opened against any one indulging in such acts.

Rural PSI Nagaraj, DCIB ASI Sanjeeva Purusha, PC Uday, Taranath, Iqbal, Rural station inspectors Kutti, Jayakumar, Suresh, Lakshman, Suneetha, Mohan and Vijayeshwar were part of the police team which arrested the six  under the guidance of Circle Inspector KU Belliyappa and directions of  SP Dr Sharanappa, ASP Shivakumar and Bantwal DySP Rashmi Paraddy.
