Puttur: BJP candidate from the Mangaluru Lok Sabha Nalin Kumar Kateel began his campaign today by offering prayers at Simadhipathi Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple. 

The main priest, Vasantha Kedilaya offered pooja to the deity on Kateel’s behalf. He later prayed to the other deities in and around Puttur town.

Kateel began his campaign after breakfast, from the house of Darbe Vaman Pai.

He was accompanied by BJP district president and Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor, district vice president Ravishankar Mijar, Krishna Shetty Kadab from Puttur Vidhan Sabha Constituency, Taluk Panchayath president Radhakrishna Bhorkar, district Panchayat President Minakshi Shanthigodu, BJP Village Circle president Chanila Thimmayya Shetty, Chief Secretary of the BJP Shambhu Bhat and others.
