Mangaluru: Hours after BJP leader and former minister Krishna J Palemar openly expressed his discontent and blamed MP Nalin Kumar Kateel for losing the BJP ticket from Mangaluru North Constituency, the latter denied the allegations leveled against him.

Speaking to media personnel at the BJP office here on April 21, Nalin Kumar Kateel made it clear that the decision of allotting ticket was done by the party president and that he had no role in it.

“Palemar is a good politician and he has done many good works as a minister and an MLA. I respect him for that. Palemar too was the aspirant for the ticket. He may have used my name in a pain, as he lost the ticket from the party. We will amicably sort out the issue”, he said.

Talking about Satyajit Surthkal being denied ticket, Nalin Kumar said, “Satyajit has worked for the party and Hindu organisations. He has a right to seek the party ticket. Even I have brought this issue to the notice of the party high-command. State party leaders will speak to him. Those who lost ticket, will get good opportunities in the coming days.”
