Mangalore : N Prakash who was transferred prior to the elections has once again taken charge as Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district on May 14, Tuesday evening.

As per the orders of the Election Commission Prakash was transferred well ahead of the elections and  Harsh Gupta appointed in his place.

Now that elections are over,  and as per the court orders to the Election Commission, N Prakash has resumed charge as DK Deputy Commissioner. Harsh Gupta has returned to Bangalore and will take charge as Labour Commissioner a post he had held prior to becoming DC of Dakshina Kannada.

MCC Commissioner Harish Kumar, Additional DC Dayanand  and other officials warmly welcomed Prakash.

The DC later held talks with officials on various issues of administrative importance.
