Mangaluru: Shri Rama Sena Chief Pramod Muthalik on Sunday November 16 asserted that the rise in rape can only be stopped if the public advocate and imposed violence.

“The relatives or parents of the victim should chop off the hands of rapists before handing the culprit to the police or court”, Muthalik stressed.

Speaking to the reporters at Arya Samaj, he said when a person rapes, he is killing the human’s dignity, rights and individuality. It’s gruesome and inhuman. The offenders have no fear of law. Hence, they should be treated with violence, which will make them understand the agony of the victim”, he added.

Muthalik also said that in such cases Shri Ram Sena will bear their court expenses for the victim.

Muthalik also condemned the attack on a bride at Koragajja temple in Urwa, who recently entered wed-lock with a person belonging to another community. He demanded to know, why the police have not taken any action against the assaulters, despite the girl filing a complaint against them.

Besides, Muthalik felt the police have been attempting to tamper the evidences to protect culprits, in Nandita’s case. “Government hampers the police investigation to meet its own ends”, he alleged.

Concluding his talk, Muthalik also informed that ‘Durga Sena’, which is a women’s wing of Sri Ram Sene will hold self defense training for girls in Dakshina Kannada.
