Mangaluru: An alleged murder plot hatched by five youths was foiled by the timely action of the City Crime Branch sleuths who have arrested them from a garage in Ullal.

Taslim (21), a resident of Madani Nagar, Fayaz (22), Kurshid (23), Ramiz (21) and Naushad (31) of Yelliarpadavu are the arrested. They were planning to execute a murder to avenge the death of Safwan, a resident of PuIlar and were in possession of swords, rods, chilly powder and knives.

However, the police who were investigating another case got a whiff of their plans and acted swiftly to avert the murder.
