Bengaluru/Mangaluru: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) Aromatics Unit has bagged 1st prize among Factories in the Oil Industry for 2023. The award was presented during the ‘National Safety Day Celebrations 2023’ function held at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Management Academy, Bengaluru, on March 4.
This award was given in recognition of the excellent Disaster Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness implemented by MRPL Aromatics Complex. This award is being given away by the Department of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety & Health, Govt. of Karnataka.
Shri Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath, ED (Refinery) and Shri B Sudarshan, GGM (Marketing Projects), Shri Kunal Singh Sikarwar Asst Manager (HSE-F&S) & Shri Yogendra Babu Asstt Manager (HSE-F&S) from MRPL received the award.
Dr Mahesh Bhalgat, Chief Operating Officer M/s. Syngene International Ltd. presented the award in the presence of Shri. K. Srinivas, Director of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health and Secretary, Karnataka State Safety Institute.
