Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, who has already been assessed as one of the best as far his attendance and participation in Parliament is concerned, has done something worthwhile.

Inaugurating the ambitious Cornea Andhatva Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (CAMBA) in Mangaluru on Sunday, MP Nalin Kumar pledged to donate his eyes, thus becoming the first MPfrom Karnataka to do so.

After inaugurating the programme at Nayana Nethralaya in Bunts’ Hostel Circle, the MP signed the consent letter for the same and called upon more and more people to pledge to donate their eyes so that blindness could be rooted out from India.

Renowned doctor Annayya Kulal said that he will now take up awareness programme on eye donation and start addressing the gathering on the same during occasions like Ganeshothsav etc.
