MP Kateel assures respite from Demonetisation effects with new Rs. 500 currency

Mangaluru: After having a meeting with the managers of various banks in the district, Member of Parliament, Nalin Kumar Kateel addressed the members of media on Saturday, November 19 and announced that the incoveniences caused by demonetisation will come to a halt after the fresh batch of Rs. 500 notes are made available to the people.
MP Nalin Kumar to hold 'Rath Yathra' against Yettinahole project from Dec 10 to 12-1Speaking about the recent move by the Prime Minister of India, Nalin Kumar said that the whole of India had accepted this initiative and had been backed by Anna Hazare as well. “Demonetisation has brought significant changes in the country and a lot of unpaid taxes and loans have been paid off”, he added on the same note.

“According to the banks, there is no shortage in currency notes of Rs. 100 and Rs. 50 denominations and there is no need to rush to the banks at all. In another five days, all the ATMs will be working normally with enough currency notes for withdrawal after the Rs. 500 notes are dispensed”, Kateel added.

“All hospitals, medical stores and even normal shops can accept defunct legal tenders till November 24. And then they can transfer it to their bank accounts”, he mentioned while thanking the bank employees for working overtime to set things right.
