Sullia: A woman along with her three children jumped into Payaswini river and committed suicide here on May 17 near Mulya Atlur in Ajjavara village of Sullia.
Kusuma(30) wife of Raviraj, children Likhitha(5), Rakshitha(3) and Sujan(1) are the deceased. Kusuma had married Raviraj an electrician, six years ago.

A passer-by saw mother and children jumping into the backwaters and he immediately informed police. Due to continuos rain, the water level at the river was high. The local swimmers along with the help of villagers retrieved the bodies.

The bodies have been shifted to Sullia KVG Medical college.

The police are yet ascertain why the woman and children committed suicide. Sullia police have registered a case in this regard.
