Mangaluru: As an ode to the canonization of Mother Teresa, the World Catholic Association for Communications India Chapter (SIGNIS) along with Canara Communication Centre of Karnataka Region will be conducting a film festival on an international level, ‘Mother Teresa International Film Festival 2016’ in Mangaluru from September 19 to 21.
Rev. Fr. Richard D’Souza, the Director of Canara Communication Centre of Mangalore Diocese said, “There will be films on Mother Teresa screened at St. Ann’s School, St. Agnes College, St. Agnes Special School, C M Hall in St. Joseph’s Seminary, Padua College and Roshni Nilaya. More than 20 films will be screened in total.”
“Gautham Lewis (39) was affected by polio when he was a child. Mother Teresa came to his rescue and was later adopted by a British nuclear physicist. Lewis is now a pilot, film maker and runs a pilot training institute in London for disabled people. He will be our chief guest for the occasion,” said Rev. Fr. Victor Vijay Lobo, the Director of Sandesha music and fine arts school.
There will not be any entry fee. The programme schedule goes as follows.
