Bantwal: Residents of Bantwal have decided to boycott the upcoming elections as a measure against the poor condition of Farangipete-Jumadigudde road.
The residents have put up a flex announcing their decision to boycott the TP and ZP elections which is scheduled to be held on February 20.

Over more than 30 families living in the area had urged officials and representatives to repair the road. As their pleas have fallen on deaf ears, they have decided to boycott the elections and have urged that no party should come asking for votes.

Meanwhile, another village has decided to boycott the elections as well.

Madathadka-Ajjinadka road is in a poor condition due to the regualar movement of mining tipper lorries from the past 8 years. The locals had complained about the mining carried out in the area but no action was taken. Hence, the decision to boycott the elections.
