Mangaluru: A hindu friend’s courtesy visit to her muslim friend’s house post her delivery of a baby, riled the moral police, who created a ruckus in kalladka village, approximately 30kms from Mangaluru. The ruckus lasted until the police arrived and resolved the conflict.
According to the reports, Sapna (name changed) of Kundapura came to Kalladka to meet her former classmate who had delivered a baby. After Ms. Sapna reached the village, she told her friend, who in turn asked her husband to pick up her classmate from the bus stand.
Meanwhile, the group of activists who watched her getting into the car, belonging to a Muslim community, suspected her motive. The men followed her till their house. As soon as, the girl and her classmate’s husband got into the house, the miscreants barged into the house and a scuffle broke out.
Immediately, the police arrived at the spot and brought the situation under control. When the police enquired, the group of activists learnt that the girl had come to visit her female friend.
However, the police blamed the girl for the incident, one of the eye witnesses told newskarnataka. The girl was asked not to visit her again and informed her parents about the incident.
