Moodbidri : The Lokayukta sleuths  led by SP C Mohandas have arrested Manjunath, the land surveyor of Moodbidri  on the charges of accepting bribe from  a person for handing over his land sketch.

Hanumanthappa alias Harish is the complainant. He had applied for a sketch of his land in survey no. 27/8  at Manthradi village almost three months ago. It is said the surveyor who had initially demanded a small amount as bribe, had later placed demand for a high amount when Hanumanthappa complained to the Lokayukta.

The arrested  surveyor has been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
