Mangalore :The Dakshina Kannada district unit of the JD(S) now has a new President. The party leadership has appointed Mohammad Kunhi as the District Chief of the Party. The post had fallen vacant following the resignation of MB Sadashiva recently.

Kunhi was serving as the Working President of JD(S) District Committee prior to being elevated as the President. He has earlier served the party in various positions including Chief Secretary of the State unit of the Party.He has also been a  State Wakf Council Member.

The appointment of Mohammad Kunhi has been made by Party’s Caretaker President MS Narayana Gowda as per the orders of Party’s National President HD Deve Gowda.
