Mangalore : Senior Congress leader and former union minister Janardhan Poojari has said that the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi who himself is corrupt and is surrounded by corrupt people has no moral right to speak against the Centre.

Speaking to reporters at the partys South Assembly constituency election office on April 29, Monday, Poojari said it was ridiculous to hear Modi, flanked by Deputy CM R Ashok who is facing corruption charges and Ananth Kumar, an accused in the multi-crore HJUDCO scam, say that their party was clean. On what basis does Modi state that his party was clean, questioned Poojari.
Poojari also highlighted some of the scandals in which the Gujarat CM was involved and said Modi who has incurred Rs 580 crore losses to the Gujarat Government as per the CAG report, was hurling allegations against the Centre.
To Modis allegation that the nations security was endangered after the Congress came to power, Poojari said it was the BJP led NDA government which was in power when the Parliament was attacked and added the BJP was in power in Gujarat when the Akshara Dhama Mandir was also attacked
Continuing, Poojari said the Congress need not take lessons from Modi who is pursuing a dictatorial policy in Bihar and even questioned Modi as to why his state lagged behind even Bihar in the National Economic Growth Index.
