
Mangaluru: As the nation gears up for prime minister designate Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony for the second consecutive term, the coastal city too is all set to observe the historic event, here on Thursday, May 30 on the LED screens.
Necessary seating arrangements for the public along with sound and visual arrangements have been made at the District Bharatiya Janata Party Office located at Kodialbail, where the live telecast of PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony will be telecast live on the LED screens from 6:30 PM onwards.
Meanwhile, over a dozen auto rickshaw drivers have voluntarily come up to give free pickup-drop service to the public, within 5 km range of the city. Similarly, Kotian Bus which runs from Moodabidri and reaches the city through Kinnigoli too has taken the initiative of free service.
NaMo tea stalls launched
On the eve of PM Modi’s oath taking ceremony, the Modi Fan Club inaugurated ‘NaMo Tea Stall’, today in the city.
After inaugurating the stall, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath distributed free tea to all the Modi fans gathered and gave his best wishes.
On the occasion, BJP leaders Premanand Shetty, Deepak Y, Nithin Kumar, Vasanth G Poojary, Bhaskarchandra Shetty and several others were present.
Muslim flower vendor sells jasmine’s for free









A Muslim flower vendor named Faqir Abba was observed selling jasmine for free to women at a shop near the City Centre Mall, celebrating PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony.
