M’luru Police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar to be conferred with President’s Medal

Mangaluru: Newly appointed Mangaluru City Police Commissioner M Chandra Sekhar has been chosen for the President’s Medal this year.


He is one of the 23 IPS officers in the state to be chosen for the prestigious honour this year.

Apart from him, ACP Madan Gaonkar, Mangaluru, has also been chosen for the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service.

The other police officers chosen are:

President’s Medal for Distinguished Service: Bengaluru ADGP Sunil Agarwal, Hubballi-Dharwad City Police Commissioner Pandurang H Rane and Karnataka Lokayukta SP KH Jagadish.

President’s Medal for Meritorious Service: DIGP and Additional Missioner Director D Roopa, B Puttaiah of State Intelligence, Bengaluru, N D Birje of Mysuru City Crime and Traffic, Bengaluru City CCB ASP N Shankaraiah, SH Dugappa of Bengaluru City Airport sub-division, R Girish of Mysuru police, Karnataka Lokayukta DySP SD Venkataswamy, Hassan DySP Bullakkanavar, Dharward DySP Shambhulingappa I Buyyar, Uttara Kannada DySP Dayanand S Pawar, S Banahatti of Belagavi police, M Ramasubba of Chitradurga, ASI B Jnanendra of Shivamogga, SA Chinnappa and SG Ramakrishnaiah of Bengaluru KSRP, K Thimmappa, and MV Srinivas of Bengaluru City Police.
