MLA Vedavyas Kamath reaches out to stranded M’luru students in Ukraine

Mangaluru: As we know war has broken out in Ukraine, and many students from Karnataka are stranded in Ukraine. According to information, as many as 91 students are stranded of which two students are said to be from Mangaluru.

Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath sharing regarding these two Mangalureans in his Facebook has stated on Thursday February 24 that I just now got to know that 2 Mangaloreans are stuck in Ukraine, and as we all know war has erupted between Russia and Ukraine. I am trying my level best to get the students out from there. My team has spoken with their family and I am awaiting for contact numbers of the students who have gone there to study Medicine. Once I get their contact number, I will personally call them and provide assurance on their safe return, he added has stated on his Facebook wall he has tweeted about the issue too.

In another post, updating the information, he said that four Mangalorean students are stuck in Ukraine and he has spoken to two students among them and trying to contact the rest two.

Meanwhile Mangaluru Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K. V urged the people of the District on Thursday February 24 to provide information if their family members or any of their acquaintances who are working or staying in Ukraine are in trouble.
