MLA Lobo promises all round development of city

Mangalore : Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo has said that  five areas of development namely development of old port,  basic infrastructure, tourism fisheries port and development of IT and Industries, will be his top priority.

Speaking to reporters at Eden Club on Saturday July 12, Lobo said there was a need to develop the fish market and improve other basic infrastructural facilities  for fisheries sector. He also spoke about the plans to constructed an air conditioned fish market at Kankanady.

Lobo also delved upon the Corniche Project and said the proposed Jeppinamogaru, Kulur-Gurupur Corniche Road as part of a three phase corniche project, will help in easing traffic congestion.

Referring to tourism development, he spoke of the proposed Coastal Circuit Project wherein beaches will be improved and the Sultan Battery to Tannirbavi suspension bridge will be completed.

Stating that the Planetorium works are in progress, he said the project will be completed at a cost of Rs 12 crore. The MLA also spoke about the plans of bringing more IT companies and industries to the city after improving the basic infrastructural facilities.

The MLA further assured to put in maximum efforts to complete all project during his tenure.
