Moodabidri: A man who went missing from Pernody village here on February 11 has been found dead on Tuesday, February 16 just a few yards away from his house.

The deceased is Kariya Koraga (45). It is said that on February 11, he had gone to the forest to gather firewood and never returned.

A complaint was registered with the Moodabidri police in this regard.

On Tuesday, when a local couple ventured into the forest, they spotted the dead body of Karia in a decomposed state. He was found hanging from a tree.
