Mangaluru: The two teenage girls who had gone missing after college hours recently and were later traced to Kerala have now been brought back and safely handed over to their parents.

According to a complaint lodged with the Bundar police, a 16-year-old girl and her 17-year-old classmate, attended the classes on Monday but did not return home. Later, the Shoranur railway police traced the duo. A police team from Mangaluru brought them back from Palakkad.

It is learnt that the girls had left homes as they were not happy with their lives and wanted to lead better lives on their own.
Happy with their arrival, the college said that the girl will be offered counselling.
