Mangaluru: Picking a leaf out of BJP’s ‘book of strategy’, an independent organization, Bharatiya Gau Kranti Manch (Indian Cow Revolution Front) has initiated a missed call drive to galvanize numbers and opinion with the motto to declare cow as ‘Mother of the Nation’.

It is learnt that BJP law maker Yogi Adityanath was behind this move. The Hindu Yuva Vani led by Adityanath, according to hinduexistence.org website, wants the cow to be crowned as Rashtra Mata. This was later facilitated by the Bharatiya Gau Kranti Manch by initiating a  missed-call campaign on the ground.

A message drafted in many vernacular languages has been circulating on WhatsApp groups urging the users to give a missed call to- 07533007511 to join the movement of announcing the cow as the nation’s mother. Newskarnataka.com accessed this message drafted in Kannada in a WhatsApp group under the head; ‘HUM BANAYENGE RAM MANDIR’ (We will build Ram Mandir).

The message read- “Dear Hindu brothers do at least this much for Hinduism in order to save cow. To declare cow as Rashtra Mata – 07533007511 give a missed call to this number and forward this message to other groups and attain fulfillment in the purpose of Hindutva.”

To check the authenticity of the message this reporter telephoned this number. The call ends after one ring and a beep-making a missed call. Following this a message will be sent from BGKM (Bharatiya Gau Kranti Manch) under the name Am-Maaaa (call for mother). The second message sent to the message inbox reads – “You have joined with BGKM in a struggle to declare cow (Gau Mata-as used in the text message) as mother of the nation. To become the member of BGKM and the movement send your name and address to 9910261917.”

Following the next procedure will make user as a member. The drive taken up by BGKM was welcomed with joy by Working President of Dakshina Kannada Vishwa Hindu Parishat, Jagadish Shenava. “Cow is the walking temple as well as walking medical store.”  He contended that the cow must be crowned as mother of the nation as it assumes religious and medicinal significance in a nation where Hindus are in a majority, while national spokesperson, Brijesh Kalappa quipped, these are crackpots of India.

“We are organizing a program on Thursday, April 9 to propagate diversity in food culture in front of town hall Bengaluru. The program will be inaugurated by Girish Karnad by eating beef meat.” This was informed by Muneer Katipalla President of Democratic Youth Federation of India, Karnataka unit. He hit out at BJP at the center for playing emotional politics through fringe elements. DYFI strongly objected this foolish missed-call movement.
