Mangaluru: Miscreants set fire inside the Tree Park developed in Tannirbavi, on March 29. The loss incurred has been estimated at Rs six lakhs.When locals noticed fire inside the park, they instantly intimated the fire personnel and hence larger damage was averted.

The government had developed the Tree Park to spread awareness among the general public about need for conserving trees. It was inaugurated in March, 2016.

Panambur police have registered a case.
