Kasargod: In a tragic incident, a three and half year old boy got suffocated to death after a piece of balloon that he was playing with got stuck in his throat.

The deceased boy, Adi is the son of Sivaprasad-Dayakumari, residents of Kundanguli in Kasargod.

According to reports, the boy was blowing air into the balloons when one of the balloons suddenly blast and he accidentally swallowed a piece which remained stuck in his throat. When the parents failed to remove the piece from his throat they rushed him to a local clinic here and later to a private hospital in Kasargod.

The child, however died on his way to the hospital.

Since kids are often seen playing with balloons it is advisable that parents keep an eye on thier children to avoid such tragedies
