Bengaluru: In the wake of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah re-allocating the district in-charge portfolio of a few districts, Health Minister UT Khader hailing from Dakshina Kannada, has lost his position as the Kolar District in-charge Minister.
Minister Ramalinga Reddy, who was in-charge of Bengaluru City, has replaced Khader as in-charge Minister of Kolar.
Meanwhile Minister K J George will henceforth handle Bengaluru City. Kodagu, which was under George, has been given to Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao. Newly inducted Minister Manohar Tahsildar has been made in-charge of Haveri. Two other newly inducted ministers A Manju and Vinay Kulkarni have been made in-charge of Hassan and Dharwad respectively.
H C Mahadevappa is the other legislator who has been dethroned as a district in-charge minister. He had been handling Hassan so far. Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar too has not been given additional responsibility of handling a particular district.
