Bantwal: Close on the heels of Congress Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes joining a troupe of Pili Vesha dancers, the Dakshina Kannada District Minister Ramanath Rai exhibited his dancing skills at a Ganeshotsava programme in Bantwal taking everyone by surprise and his moves on the floor have gone viral.

Rai taking part in the 14th annual Ganeshotsava programme at Jakribettu in Bantwal taluk danced to enthral everyone and drew admiration from the strong crowd present on the occasion. Incidentally, minister Rai is Ganeshotsava committee’s honorary president and his dance clippings have gone viral in social media.

Ashok Bhasti of Junior Rajkumar fame led the dance troupe as part of the cultural programme. Dancers from his troupe replicated the steps of sandalwood stars Puneet Rajkumar, Upendra and Duniya Vijay and also Kannada matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar.

Rai joined the artistes and danced to match the footsteps of Kannada cine actors to the thunderous applause from the gathering. People were surprised watching the energy and enthusiasm on display by the stocky forest minister .

Politicians leave no stone unturned to woo voters and remain in public gaze and Minister Rai is the latest addition in this category.
