Bantwal: The mortal remains of Korpadi Taluk Panchayat Vice President Abdul Jaleel were buried after performing the final rites at Sammadka Masjid, Karopadi. Sayyed Mukthar Thangal Kumble and Kavalkatte Hazarath Thanghal performed the religious rites.

Speaking to media, District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai said, “Jaleel is my boy, who worked day and night for the development of the region. He had no enmity with anybody. It is impossible to forget the pain of his death.”
Shedding tears Rai expressed, “This incident has hurt me. There is pressure on the police department to crack the case very soon. The police too have assured of cracking this case within two days.“
Food and Civil Service Minister UT Khader, State Cashew Development Board President B H Khader, ZP member M S Mohammed, Chandraprakash Shetty Tumbe, Padmashekar Jain, Akrama-Sakrama Committee member Mailappa Salian, Harshad Varkady of Kasargod, ZP Standing Committee President, Bantwal Taluk Panchayat President Chandrahas Karkera, Vice President Abbas Ali and others were present.
About 23 injury marks were found on the body of Jaleel. A machete which was swung at Jaleel neck had severely injured him and resulted in his death.
