Ullal: Obele lele aile sa ai lesa…the enthusiastic state minister U T Khader joined the students and farmers in the process of growing paddy here on September 17.

In Konaje Annerepalu field, ‘Vidharthygala Nadige raithara Hadilu bhumiya kadege’ a program was organised by Dr P Dayananda Pai -P Sathisha Pai government first grade college, Rashtriya Seva Yojana units, Red Ribbon, Konaje Gram panchayath, Raitha Sangha Hasiru Sene and Journalists Association Thokkottu.

Enthusiastic Food minister U T Khader too joined the paddy planting process along with the students and the farmers.

Minister who stepped into the field along with local leaders also sang traditional tulu ‘Paad’dana’. Speaking on the occasion, Khader said, “agriculture is losing its importance in this modern and scientific world. This is indeed a special initiative to create awareness among students about agriculture reviving our culture.

Principal Prof Rajashekar Hebbar C, lecturers Prof Jeffrey Rodrigues, Dr Nagaveni and Dr Naveen N Konaje were present.
