Belthangadi: A school teacher was killed and the rest were injured when a mini bus rammed into an auto rickshaw near a petrol bunk in Ujire on February 28.

Ashwini, an English medium teacher at a school in Laila village of Belthangadi taluk is the deceased.

Rickshaw driver Aboobakar (64), Sumayya (23) and a year old toddler Shahana were injured when auto richshaw toppled due to the impact.

The injured were rushed to a private hospital in Ujire immediately.

Ashwini, a native of Shirlalu village had married Macharu Keshav of Ujire, a year ago.

Belthangadi police have registered a case.
