Mangaluru: A 25-year old married woman was murdered at Meenakaliya, Panambur on Monday night.The deceased Kalpana is a migrant coolie worker, the police said.

It’s learnt that the woman was killed, when her husband Rajesh had been to work on night shift. The police recovered a sickle with coagulated blood, which was found at the spot.

The police was informed about the incident, the next day when her husband returned from the work. She was found  lying in a pool of blood.

Rajesh and Kalpana, both migrants hail from Uttara Pradesh. Rajesh, who is a coolie worker at the railway yard usually, worked in the day, it’s learnt. The body has been sent for post-mortem.

A case has been registered in Panambur police station.
