Kasargod: A migrant labourer from Uttar Pradesh died after he fell into a rivulet from the boat.

The deceased is identified as Dharam Pal (45). He used to undertake concrete related work.

On Sunday evening, while he was returning home with eight others in a boat in Turti rivulet, he accidentally fell into the water and drowned, it is said. Though firefighters and policemen continued their search operation until late night he was not found. They resumed the operation today morning and fished out his body in the afternoon.

The body has been shifted to Kasargod general hospital mortuary.
