Mangaluru: A job fair under one of the most ambitious initiatives of the Prime Minister’s Kaushal Vikas Yojan (PMKVY) will be held at Sahyadri College in Adyar, here on Saturday, February 27.

About 100 companies including the likes of HP, Wipro, IBM, Microsoft, Hinduja Global, Diya Systems, JUST Dial, Mphasis, HDFC will participate. The fair is expected to attract about 5,000 students, Convener of the programme Rajesh Naik Ulipadi said.

The primary objective is to provide employment to candidates those who have cleared Class X up to degree and PG holders. The highlight of the programme is that a special month long skill training programme will be provided to those who fail to get employment. Also, follow-ups will be held to ensure that every candidate is placed, he informed.

Candidates are required to get all necessary documents during the fair.
