Karkala : In a tragic incident, a woman who was admitted to the Taluk Government Hospital for her first delivery has died of excessive bleeding soon after giving birth to a baby. The incident was reported on March 20, Thursday. Meanwhile, the  brother of the deceased woman has lodged a complaint at the Town Police Station alleging that  medical negligence was responsible for the incident.

The deceased is Susheela 24), wife of Sadhu of Nallur Nellikaru. She had a normal delivery on Thursday morning and had given birth to a baby boy. However, by afternoon, she began to suffer from excessive bleeding. She died while being  rushed  to Wenlock Hospital in Mangalore, in an ambulance.

Her brother Suresh in his complaint has blamed gynaecologist Dr Vikram Hebbar, nurses Latha and Jayalakshmi for  Susheela’s death.
