
Mangaluru: The Mangalore City Corporation has bagged an award for recycling and reuse of waste water. The award was conferred on Saturday by City Managers’ Association, Karnataka and Directorate of Municipal Administration of Karnataka government, at a private Hotel in Bengaluru.
The award consists of Rs 1 lakh cash, trophy and a citation. MCC Commissioner Mohammed Nazir along with engineer Raghupal and Madhumanohar received the award from State minister for Municipalities and Local bodies Eshwar Bhimanna Kandre.
State minister KJ george, Muncipal Administration Department Principal Secretary Mahendra Jain, Urban Development Secretary Anum Pervez, Dr R Vishal, KUIDFC Managing Director AB Ibrahim and others were present.
The award was given to MCC for reusing the wastewater for industrial purpose.
